People & Culture Officer (Maternity Cover), People & Culture 

SHIFT PATTERN (40 hours, 5 days per week)

We’re looking for a People & Culture Officer to join our vibrant and dynamic People & Culture Team here at Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, London.

The P&C Officers' goal will be to assist the team with all facets in the People & Culture department, from Talent Attraction, Retention, Engagement, Culture and Employee Relations.

As a People & Culture Officer at Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, you will be responsible for tasks such as:

  • To manage the Talent Attraction cycle from posting vacancies, screening CVs, interviewing candidates, sending out offers and preparing contracts of employment, in line with operational budget
  • Prepare vacancy list and informing Head of departments of new starters
  • Preparing onboarding of new colleagues, including setting up their profiles for various digital systems 
  • Payroll / Sickness / Absence administration as required
  • To ensure that all People & Culture administration procedures are carried out in accordance with Legal requirements.
  • To adhere and keep up to date with all UK & European Legislation affecting People & Culture
  • Respond to all reference requests for current colleagues, ex-colleagues and other employers in a timely manner
  • To ensure that all recruits have valid work permits for the UK and where requested, apply for work permits, administer renewals, extensions and cancellations of work permits by liaising with Immigration.
  • Be the face and first point of contact of the office for all colleagues to approach
  • Assist, develop, implement and adhere to Company & Hotel People & Culture policies and procedures
  • Assist the Senior People & Culture Management team with any project work as and when required
  • Be responsible for the administrative tasks related to internal social and employee engagement

As a People & Culture Officer, you will be working on Monday to Friday shift basis, 40 hours a week.
