Roles and Responsibilities:
Undertake design reviews of engineering drawings and specifications (MEP & ELV Systems) to ensure that these follow our Product Standards and Guidelines (PS&G), recognized standards and codes, international best practice and operational/maintenance requirements.
Liaise with other design and operational colleagues to ensure that their technical requirements are met, including pre-opening support as required.
Ensure that MOHG Responsible Hotel Development Guidelines are at the core of technical design that result in resource efficient hotels, resorts and residencies that also contribute to our environmental targets and objectives.
Manage the demands and priorities of multiple projects to ensure appropriate and timely support to internal colleagues and external project teams.
Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically as assigned to meet operational and/or other requirements. May be required to travel within EMEA and Asia for site visits during construction.
Minimum Job Requirements:
The Technical Design Manager will be required to possess a degree-level education that is relevant to the role together with at least 5 years at senior engineer level or above in an MEP/building services consultancy.
On-site experience and a demonstrable history of increasing project complexity and responsibility that includes hotels will be a distinct advantage.
Knowledge of sustainable practices, green building rating schemes, energy-efficient systems, and renewable energy options are fundamental to achieving the strategic aims of MOHG.
Self-motivation with excellent time management and the ability to make quick and pragmatic decisions with high levels of problem solving are core competencies for the role.
Use of software such as Word, Excel and Bluebeam are expected.
The ability to communicate in Cantonese and Mandarin would be an advantage.
