Spa Receptionist

About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Canouan / within the Spa & Wellness Department in Canouan, the Spa Receptionist is the first point of contact for guests and plays a key role in delivering a warm, welcoming, and seamless spa experience. This role is responsible for guest check-in/check-out, scheduling appointments, promoting spa services and retail items, and maintaining a calm and professional atmosphere throughout the spa. The Spa Receptionist reports to the Spa & Wellness Manager.

As Spa Receptionist, you will be responsible for the following duties:

Guest Experience

  • Greet all guests warmly and provide an exceptional first impression.
  • Guide guests through the check-in and check-out process.
  • Provide detailed information about spa treatments, packages, retail items, and facilities.
  • Ensure guest comfort and maintain a relaxing spa ambiance at all times.

Scheduling & Administration

  • Manage appointment bookings using spa reservation software.
  • Confirm bookings, handle cancellations, and manage therapist schedules efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate guest records and billing information.
  • Process payments, issue receipts, and maintain cash and POS accuracy.

Communication & Coordination

  • Communicate guest preferences and special requests to therapists and spa team.
  • Work closely with the Spa Manager and the entire spa team to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Relay updates, maintenance needs, and supply requests in a timely manner.

Retail & Sales

  • Promote spa treatments, memberships, promotions, and retail products.
  • Maintain displays, ensure proper stock levels, and support spa retail sales goals.

Standards & Cleanliness

  • Ensure reception, relaxation areas, treatment rooms, and retail displays are tidy and presentable.
  • Follow safety, hygiene, and confidentiality standards at all times.

As Spa Receptionist we expect from you:

·  Previous experience in hospitality, reception, or spa customer service preferred.

·  Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

·  Professional, calm, and welcoming demeanor.

·  Basic computer and POS knowledge; experience with spa reservation systems is an asset.

·  Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

·  Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
