Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within Food & Beverage Division in Hong Kong, the Food & Beverage Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and maximizing the guest experience, quality standards and business performance of our Food & Beverage outlets. The Food & Beverage Operations Manager reports to Director of Food & Beverage.
Supervise the day-to-day operation of the Food and Beverage outlets
Assist the Director of Food and Beverage in controlling and analyzing on an on-going basis including guest satisfaction, merchandising and marketing, operating costs, sanitation, cleanliness and hygiene, Legendary Quality Experience, colleague satisfaction and wellbeing
Ensure training is carried out for all Food and Beverage personnel in order to maintain and upgrade our legendary service standards
Assist in the preparation of the Hotel’s strategy plan, annual marketing plan, goal program and budgeting for the Food and Beverage department
Plan the promotions and activities, menu implementations according to the marketing plan
Be aware of and comply with all legislation affecting the operation, including licensing regulations, health regulations and fire and safety regulations
Cooperate with and drive forward the implementations of Mandarin Oriental Legendary Service Training in all Food and Beverage outlets through close follow up with outlet Managers
Conduct inspections of kitchens and restaurants with follow-ups
Handle guest comments and complaints and take swift corrective action
Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the division head from time to time
At least 3 years' experience in similar capacity, preferably with luxury hotel experience
Excellent managerial and interpersonal skills
Passion in customer service and hospitality industry
Able to work under pressure
International exposure will be an advantage
Fluent in English, knowledge of other languages is a plus
