About the job

Based at the San Clemente Palace within the Sales & Marketing Department in Venice, the Events Executive is responsible for supporting the sales and execution of group and social events at the hotel, ensuring a seamless client journey from enquiry to post-event follow-up. This role is key to optimizing event revenue, enhancing guest satisfaction, and maintaining the hotel’s luxury standards across all types of functions. The Events Executive works closely with the Sales, Revenue, Operations, and Food & Beverage teams to ensure each event is delivered with precision and excellence. This position reports directly to the Director of Sales and supports the broader Commercial team in achieving strategic and financial goals.

As Sales Manager, you will responsible for the following duties:

  • Respond to event enquiries in a timely and professional manner, qualifying leads and conducting follow-up communication.
  • Prepare detailed proposals, contracts, function sheets, and other documentation in line with brand standards.
  • Conduct client site inspections, both virtual and in-person, showcasing event spaces and service capabilities.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (F&B, Banqueting, Rooms, AV, etc.) to ensure flawless event execution.
  • Assist with the planning and operational support of group stays, weddings, social events, and corporate meetings.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the event management system (e.g., Delphi), including client data, function schedules, and revenue tracking.
  • Participate in weekly function meetings and collaborate on event forecasting, detailing, and post-event reviews.
  • Ensure consistent and professional client communication before, during, and after the event, offering personalised service.
  • Monitor client satisfaction and assist in resolving any issues promptly and effectively.
  • Support the Director of Events in driving upselling opportunities and optimising use of function space.
  • Coordinate with the Sales & Marketing team to support the promotion of event spaces and event-related packages.
  • Assist in the organisation of events and showcase opportunities for travel agents, wedding planners, and corporate clients.
  • Perform any other duties as reasonably required by the Director of Sales.

As Events Executive we expect from you: 

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in coordinating events or banqueting operations, ideally within a luxury hotel or events venue.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proactive and client-oriented mindset, with a passion for delivering memorable experiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to liaise with clients and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience using event or hotel systems (e.g., Delphi, Opera, or similar CRM/event management tools).
  • Fluency in English and Italian; additional languages are a plus.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage tight deadlines.
  • Flexible availability, including occasional evenings and weekends based on event schedule.
  • Degree or diploma in Hospitality, Events Management, or related fields preferred.
