About the job

Based at the San Clemente Palace within the Sales & Marketing Department in Venice, the Marketing & Communications Executive is responsible for supporting the hotel’s marketing and communication activities, contributing to brand visibility, guest engagement, and commercial success. Working closely with the Director of Marketing & Communications, this role assists in the coordination and implementation of digital campaigns, public relations initiatives, content creation, and brand activations in line with Mandarin Oriental standards. The Marketing & Communications Executive collaborates with Sales, Revenue, F&B, Spa, and Operations teams to ensure cohesive brand messaging and effective communication across all touchpoints. This position reports directly to the Director of Marketing & Communications.

As Marketing & Communications Executive, you will responsible for the following duties:

  • Support the execution of the annual marketing plan, including digital, PR, and promotional activities.
  • Assist in the development of online and offline content, including social media posts, newsletters, press releases, blog articles, and sales materials.
  • Coordinate photo and video shoots, ensuring assets align with Mandarin Oriental’s brand identity.
  • Maintain the hotel’s social media channels by scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and responding to inquiries.
  • Collaborate with F&B and Spa teams to promote seasonal offers, menus, and experiences through targeted campaigns.
  • Assist in media relations, including press requests, media visits, influencer stays, and tracking press coverage.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external partners to ensure marketing materials (flyers, brochures, signage) are produced on time and within guidelines.
  • Monitor and report on marketing KPIs, digital performance, and campaign results using analytics tools.
  • Coordinate guest-facing communications, including in-room collaterals, guest newsletters, and promotional displays.
  • Support the organisation of local partnerships, CSR activities, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Ensure all content and materials respect the brand guidelines and tone of voice of Mandarin Oriental.
  • Keep track of the marketing budget, purchase orders, and invoice processing as needed.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor campaigns, and innovation in luxury marketing.
  • Perform any other tasks as reasonably assigned by the Director of Marketing & Communications.

As Marketing & Communications Executive we expect from you: 

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or PR, ideally within luxury hospitality or lifestyle brands.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Italian (mandatory); other languages are a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, creativity, and visual storytelling skills.
  • Experience managing social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn), content scheduling tools, and CMS.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Mailchimp, Meta Business Suite, and Google Analytics.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise deadlines, and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
  • A collaborative and proactive approach, with a passion for branding and guest experience.
  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field preferred.
