About the job
Based at Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino within the Guest Experience Department in Pylos, Messenia, Greece, the Welcome Host is responsible for a warm welcome and farewell of guests, assisting with airport arrivals and departures, and providing guidance at the resort gates. The Welcome Host reports to the Front Services Manager.
As Welcome Host, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Welcomes any guest and be ambassador of Mandarin Oriental Costa Navarino on property or outside the Resort.
- Anticipates guests' needs in order to provide an exceptional guest experience in line with MOHG standards.
- Communicates with the other resort departments to coordinate seamless guest services.
- Is knowledgeable of all in-house and arriving guests, as well as any situation that might impact our guests’ stay.
- Provides information about Resort services, special events, and local attractions.
- Supports actively the Front Services team in daily operations such as transportations, deliveries and further guests' assistance.
- Performs any other reasonable duty as required by the Management Team.
At the Airport:
- Greets arriving VIP guests with a warm welcome and provides assistance through immigration, baggage collection, and customs.
- Escorts departing VIP guests to check-in counters and ensures a smooth departure experience.
- Coordinates with transport services to arrange seamless transfers to and from the Resort.
- Assists with luggage and any special requests, such as VIP services or last-minute travel changes.
At the Resort Entrance:
- Welcomes and guides Resort Guests and Restaurant Guests upon arrival.
- Ensures smooth entry and exit for guests while maintaining a high level of efficiency and security.
- Assists with buggy requests during peak hours, ensuring timely and organized transportation within the resort.
- Provides information on resort facilities, events, and dining options.
As Welcome Host, we expect from you:
- EU Passport or valid Residence Permit is mandatory in order to work in Greece.
- Valid drivers’ license.
- 2 years' experience in a similar or doorperson role are strongly preferred.
- Good knowledge of English. Greek or any other additional language will be considered as a plus.
- Be able to multi-task, to problem solve and to work well in a team environment.
- Be professional and willing to provide excellent guest services.
