Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona is an exclusive 5-star hotel located on Barcelona's Paseo de Gracia, home to several historic modernist works and architectural gems by Gaudí. The hotel offers 120 rooms, 28 of which are suites, all uniquely decorated by Patricia Urquiola. It features a 2 Michelin-starred restaurant, various gastronomic spaces, and a luxurious Spa with 8 treatment rooms, indoor pool and gym.
Based at Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona, within the Spa & Wellness Department, the Spa Concierge is responsible for providing a seamless guest experience and operational support across all spa areas during a maternity or medical leave cover. This position reports to the Spa Director.
Support the company's philosophy and service culture through the use of our Pillars of Legendary Quality Experiences, Guiding Principles, and D.E.L.I.G.H.T. standards to ensure guest satisfaction.
Ensure high standards of cleanliness and organization in the Spa and Reception area at all times.
Assist in the operations of all Spa departments including swimming pool, locker rooms, fitness center, relaxation area, retail, pantry, spa suites, and events.
Maintain inventories and prepare daily schedules, confirmation letters, guest files and records.
Respond courteously to guest inquiries via phone and in person, following MOHG etiquette standards.
Support the guest journey from arrival to departure ensuring a warm, friendly and professional welcome.
Prepare gift certificates, manage incoming/outgoing faxes and packages, and log turn-away guests.
Maintain the reception area clean, stocked, and professionally presented at all times.
Participate in training sessions and attend daily line-ups and departmental meetings.
Ensure accurate appointment scheduling to maximize productivity and service quality.
Comply with all health, safety, and hygiene policies as outlined by the Spa Director.
Promote retail and spa services, contributing to sales targets as defined by management.
Demonstrate professionalism in appearance, punctuality, and guest interactions.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Fluent English and Spanish.
Experience in luxury hospitality or wellness environments.
Excellent grooming, punctuality, and a guest-centric attitude.
Solid administrative and telephone etiquette skills.
Experience with SpaSoft or similar booking software is a plus.
Flexibility to adapt to guest needs and operational demands.
Ability to work cohesively in a multicultural team.
