About the job
It is the mission and intent of Sales Manager to take full responsibility for all aspects of the Sales operations.
As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Working closely with Director of Commercial in leading the commercial planning and execution of cooperative sales efforts with Leisure and MICE accounts for Mandarin Oriental, Desaru Coast
- Active involvement and execution in the yearly commercial plan and marketing plan together with the Director of Commercial and Director of Marketing
- Maximising revenue opportunities and driving share from leisure and MICE accounts for Mandarin Oriental, Desaru Coast and cross sell to other Mandarin Oriental, Desaru Coast properties when the opportunities arise
- Proactively develop new Leisure and MICE accounts to meet or exceed sales targets given by the Director of Commercial, including Corporate/ Leisure groups, Corporate partnerships and Leisure bookings.
- Ensure incremental business from existing accounts
- Explore and ensure maximum brochure coverage for Leisure accounts for Mandarin Oriental, Desaru Coast
- Initiating and executing tactical promotions and campaigns to drive sales to Mandarin Oriental, Desaru Coast
- Managing SLA’s (Service Level Agreements) with key accounts and implementing measurement and action plans against sales targets
- Taking the lead in developing programs to ensure product knowledge updates for all contact points: Product manager, reservations agents, and counter staff.
- Managing all retail travel agencies for Mandarin Oriental, Desaru Coast taking the lead to deliver innovative and industry leading programs to drive sales and shift share.
- Managing all key wholesalers and MICE accounts against targets for Mandarin Oriental, Desaru Coast.
- Organise and conduct Site inspection, Familiarisation Trips, conference calls, company related social events and functions as and when required by the management after office hours, weekends and public holidays
