As Purchasing Director, you will play a pivotal role in the hotel’s financial and operational efficiency. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, you will lead the Materials Management department, overseeing purchasing, storeroom, and receiving functions. Your mission will be to ensure cost-effective sourcing while upholding our standards of quality, luxury, and sustainability.
Lead the sourcing, negotiation, and procurement of all hotel goods and services.
Collaborate with department heads to ensure specifications meet operational needs.
Optimize purchasing strategies through market analysis and trend monitoring.
Maintain strong vendor relationships and oversee contract tender processes.
Ensure compliance with HACCP and corporate sustainability standards.
Manage stock levels, inventory, and monthly audits for efficiency and accuracy.
Oversee all procurement documentation and reporting for Accounting and Finance.
Mentor and develop a high-performing procurement team.
Participate in regular tastings and supplier evaluations with F&B and culinary leaders.
Required:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a Purchasing Manager role within luxury hospitality.
At least 3 years in a team leadership position.
Strong background in contract negotiation and project management.
Excellent knowledge of HACCP and quality assurance standards.
Fluent in English (spoken and written); Spanish is highly desirable.
Highly organized, analytical, and deadline-driven.
Preferred:
Additional language skills are a plus.
Prior experience in pre-opening or renovation projects is valued.
