About the job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within Combined Materials & Purchasing Centre in Hong Kong, the Procurement Officer is responsible for assisting the Director of Procurement in improving operational efficiency of current procurement system. The Procurement Officer reports to the Director of Procurement.
As Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Responsible for the sourcing of F&B & Non-F&B products and services
Proceed purchasing processes, supply chain management, contract negotiation, market trend evaluation and supplier performance management
Manage and develop Tender/RFI/RFQ
Focus on quality, service delivery and competitive price
As Procurement Officer, we expect from you:
A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in high volume purchasing (hospitality or hotel food and beverage purchasing experience would be seen as an advantage)
High level of tertiary education or professional training (CIEH Level 3 in HACCP and Food Safety)
Systems / PC skills (knowledge of MBT procurement system an advantage)
Proven negotiation skills and strong analytical skills
Excellent communication skills both internally with operational departments and external suppliers
Proven RFI, RFP or RFQ for information analysis
Independent and able to work under pressure
