About the job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group - Corporate Office/ within the Finance & Accounts Department in Hong Kong, the Manager – Enterprise Risk and Compliance is a key part of the MOHG’s Risk Management and Internal Control function. The primary responsibilities are to oversee the Group’s enterprise risk management framework and support the management of the Group’s insurance programme. This role will also design and evaluate the adequacy of internal controls in place to mitigate financial and operation risks under review and communicate with various stakeholders effectively. The Manager – Enterprise Risk Management reports to the Head of Internal Controls and Compliance.
As Manager – Enterprise Risk and Compliance, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Group’s enterprise risk management framework.
Manage the Group Insurance Program, including policy review, claims, and collaboration with the insurance broker and Jardine Matheson’s Group Treasury team.
Identify and communicate financial and operation control risks, findings and recommendations to stakeholders, ensuring that appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
Support MOHG’s Head of Internal Controls and Compliance to update and refine hotel finance policies and procedures to promote organisational excellence.
Lead and execute onsite hotel internal audits and internal process review at corporate and regional offices according to appropriate standards and agreed upon procedures under the supervision of MOHG’s Head of Internal Control and Compliance.
Support the MOHG’s Head of Internal Controls and Compliance to prepare Management and Audit Committee reporting, which may include risk management and compliance activities.
As Manager – Enterprise Risk and Compliance, we expect from you:
Degree holder in Risk Management, Accounting or relevant disciplines and professional qualification such as CRM, CPA, CIA or equivalent.
Minimum 7+ years of relevant work experience, including significant risk management experience, in sizeable organisations, and min. 5 years of risk based internal and external audit experience (preferably with a Big 4 accounting firm).
External and/or internal audit knowledge and experience in hotel finance operations.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin).
Flexibility for travel or to work remotely for assignments.
