Accountant

This role will manage and monitor billing and accounts receivable function for the Hong Kong and US corporate offices.

Roles & responsibilities

  • Prepare Accounts Receivable Aging report (monthly basis)
  • Review work of the assistant accountant, including issuance of invoices and journals for hotels and corporate entities. (monthly basis)
  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping record for hotel invoices, rechargeables, intercompany transactions and payment from hotels (monthly basis)
  • Perform account reconciliations of un-invoiced out-of-pocket expenses, reservation fees, tradeshow expenses and intercompany balances, (monthly basis)
  • Liaison with external auditors and tax advisors for annual audit and tax compliance issues
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting policies and procedures
  • Assist in ad hoc projects as assigned by supervisor

Job requirements

Education: High Diploma or above in accounting or related disciplines

Experience: At least 3 years relevant experience as Accounts Receivable Supervisor, preferable in hospitality industry

Certifications / licenses:

  • Qualified CPA preferred

Special skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially excel
  • Knowledge on Sun System / Sage Accpac / Hyperion is an advantage
