We are looking for an Learning & Development Manager to support the growth of our People and enhance our Culture of continuous improvement.
The Learning and Development Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of the Hotel by designing and implementing innovative training programs, responsible for, but not limited to, the overall Hotel's learning and development plan, performance management, and quality assurance, focusing on to deliver exceptional service and exceed both Colleagues' and Guests' expectations.
The L&D Manager will be responsible for :
- Develop and implement comprehensive learning and development strategies aligned with the hotel’s objectives and values
- Design and deliver training programs for all levels, including onboarding, orientation program, leadership development, technical skills training, and service excellence
- To support the activities of departmental managers and to ensure that all Learning & Development activities are geared towards the achievement of the hotel strategic objectives
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, and make adjustments as necessary
- Provide regular feedback to Director of People & Culture regarding the L&D plan effectiveness and challenges
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, engagement, and accountability among Colleagues
- Collaborate with department heads and senior leadership to identify training needs and opportunities for improvement
- Inspire the team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure their success and professional growth
- To play an active part in Fire, Health & Safety trainings, and Food Hygiene training to ensure that all legislation is adhered to; as well as recorded and reviewed in conjunction with the FLHSSE Manager where applicable
- Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and innovations in learning and development, and incorporate into training initiatives
What we are looking for:
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Hospitality Management, or related field;
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an L&D role, as Training Manager or similar role of learning and development, training, or talent development roles, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Fluent in Arabic (Darija), French and English (can deliver trainings in the three languages)
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and training delivery techniques
- Proven track record of designing and implementing effective training programs that drive employee engagement, performance, and retention
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire team members at all levels
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proficiency in learning management systems and other training technologies
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
