With 326 guest rooms and 31 suites, Mandarin Oriental, Miami is located in Brickell Key and is a prime location for both business and leisure guests.  

Overview of Position

The Housekeeping Manager manages the housekeeping function for the hotel guest rooms and public lobby space, to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and attractiveness. Manages a housekeeping staff, including Office Coordinators, AM & PM Room Attendants, House Attendants and Public Area attendants.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting Director of Housekeeping in managing payroll and productivity; purchasing housekeeping supplies and amenities. Effectively monitor preventative maintenance programs throughout the hotel; attend to all guest requests and ensure they are being completely in a timely manner Housekeeping Manager is responsible for scheduling and monitoring labor cost for department in order to achieve targeted payroll. Coaching and counseling the housekeeping staff and maintaining turnover to an acceptable level.

The Housekeeping Manager reports directly to the Director of Housekeeping and is responsible to lead the housekeeping team.

Requirements

• Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the similar position, preferably in a luxury setting.

• Flexible schedule is required, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

• Excellent organizational skills and communication skills are necessary.

• Must be able to work in a high-pace and dynamic operation. 

• Must be detailed oriented, excellent computer skills necessary.

• Have a pleasant, friendly and helpful manner.

• Work in a safe, prudent and organized manner.

• Able to handle multiple tasks at one time.

• Able to consistently delight and satisfy our guest.
