About the role:
As Groups & Events Manager, you have the responsibility over the general commercial strategy of the department. You manage relationships with our key accounts; identify and prospect new business opportunities, clients and markets. You ensure that all team members maintain and develop customer relationships in the segment they are responsible for and anticipate market trends and design products and channels in advance to seize emerging business opportunities.

As part of this role, you embed the hotel’s business strategies, pricing and rate structures. Within this diverse role you are pivotal in building relationships with our clients and partners. Thereby further increasing the brand awareness for the Conservatorium Hotel and Mandarin Oriental. Close collaboration with the other teams of the commercial department (Reservations, Revenue, Sales and Marketing), as well as the operational team from Food & Beverage, is key to ensure the overall commercial targets of the hotel are achieved.

To be a successful Groups & Events Manager candidate, you will have:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Groups & Events Sales + minimum of 1 year experience as assistant manager or manager
• Studied Hotel- or Event Management;
• Advanced proficiency in the English language (Dutch is a plus);
• Strong overall computer literacy, not limited to MS Office;
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Salesforce and Delphi
