Mandarin Oriental is looking for a Feasibility Analyst (6-month Contract) to join our team at the Hong Kong Corporate Office.

The role of Feasibility Analyst (6-month Contract) involves conducting in-depth market and financial evaluations of potential hotel greenfield development and rebranding opportunities in supporting the Group’s strategic pillar of ACCELERATION.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Financial Modelling and Projections: Build financial models, including revenue forecasts and cost estimations adhering to Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI), and develop discounted cashflow to evaluate project’s financial viability.

  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to assess demand, supply trends, and competitive landscapes for potential ultra-luxury hotel projects, through conducting desktop search, and site visits and stakeholder interviews where necessary.

  • Collaboration: Act as an integral partner to the Development, Technical Services, Revenue Management, Operations, Finance and Legal teams to identify and evaluate new development opportunities.

  • Reporting and Presentations: Support the preparation of RFP proposal, pitching presentations etc to secure management opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Hospitality Management, Real Estate, or a similar field of study.

  • Professional qualifications such as CPA, CFA, or equivalent certifications.

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the luxury hotel industry, hospitality consulting firms, real estate development, or finance fields.

  • Knowledge of financial valuation methodology (DCF).

  • Strong computer skills with an emphasis on spreadsheet and financial modelling (e.g., Excel) and presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint).

  • Fluent in English and Chinese, with excellent communication and presentation skills to engage with diverse stakeholders from different regions.
