About the job
Based at Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino within the Front Services Department in Pylos, Messenia, Greece, the Hotel Driver will be responsible for providing safe, efficient, and personalized transportation services to our esteemed guests, ensuring a seamless and luxurious travel experience that aligns with our five-star LQE standards.
The Hotel Driver reports to the Front Services Manager.
As Hotel Driver, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Warmly welcome guests and offer personalized assistance during pick-up and drop-off.
- Provide timely and comfortable transportation for guests to and from Kalamata and Athens Airports.
- Assist with internal errands or staff transfers as needed.
- Assist with luggage handling and guest belongings as needed.
- Provide local insights and recommendations while maintaining discretion and professionalism.
- Ensure the cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance of Resort vehicles at all times.
- Maintain accurate logs of vehicle use, mileage, fuel, and service schedules.
- Assist with parking guests’ vehicles upon arrival and retrieval upon request, ensuring proper care, discretion, and attention to luxury standards.
- Support internal guests transportation by electrical golf cars if needed.
- Collaborate with the Guest Experience and Front Office teams to coordinate scheduled transfers and spontaneous guest requests.
- Uphold all Greek traffic laws and resort safety protocols during driving.
- Report any vehicle issues or guest concerns promptly to management.
- Full compliance of Mandarin Oriental quality standards, including LQEs and Pillars.
- Further reasonable requests given by the Front Service Manager.
As Hotel Driver, we expect from you:
- EU Passport or valid Residence Permit is mandatory in order to work in Greece.
- Valid Greek driver’s license (Category B or above) with a clean driving record for the last 5 years.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of professional driving experience, ideally within a luxury hospitality or tourism setting.
- Fluent in Greek and English; additional languages are an asset.
- Excellent knowledge of the Messinia region, including local roads, beaches, villages, and cultural landmarks.
- Impeccable grooming and professional demeanor in line with five-star resort standards.
- High level of discretion, courtesy, and guest-focused mindset.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Familiarity with luxury or hybrid vehicles (e.g., Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Tesla) is highly desirable.
