Located on the southwest coast of the Peloponnese, one of the most unspoiled and breath-taking landscapes in the Mediterranean, and 45 minutes’ drive from Kalamata International Airport.
The beachfront resort is part of the sustainable resort destination of Costa Navarino, a well-established tourism destination which includes 3 other resorts. It comprises of 99 suites and villas, all with outdoor terraces and sea views, along with seven restaurants and bars.
Scope of Position:
The Director of F&B is responsible for the smooth and efficient operations of the whole Food & Beverage Department. Devises and implements short-term tactics and long-term strategies to maximize effectiveness of the function, to contribute to improved market share and to increase overall food and beverage profitability.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Leads the Food & Beverage operations.
- Ensures guest feedback and comments are adequately handled.
- Provides leadership and support for all direct reports and other colleagues in the division and maintains effective colleague relations.
- Ensures the colleagues' career path and development needs are prioritized and documented along with performance management and a positive work environment is established and maintained.
- Conducts such functions as interviewing, hiring, employee orientation, performance reviews, coaching, counselling, and dismissal if necessary to ensure appropriate staffing and productivity reviews.
- Participates in public relations activities or promotional activities for the Food & Beverage division.
- Leads all the functions of Food & Beverage division, facilities, and financial performance to ensure maximum departmental profit and cost efficiency is achieved.
- Keeps food & beverage cost in line with Budget.
- Analyses sales mix, food and beverage costings and pricing on regular basis.
- Monitors market prices and makes revisions whenever needed.
- Reviews and analyses market trends globally and locally in order to keep up to date in our operation.
- Leads the implementation of new Food & Beverage concepts and projects.
- Participates in the preparation of the annual budget and marketing plan, taking ownership for the Food & Beverage Division sections.
- Prepares Food & Beverage annual Capex plan and management of Capex projects and expenditure.
- Continually seeks ways to improve revenues and efficiency in all Food & Beverage venues.
- Is responsible for and accountable for the Food & Beverage departmental operating budgets.
- Is aware of, and complies with, safe working practices as laid down under FHLSS&E, HACCP and Health & Safety guidelines. This will include awareness of any specific hazards at your workplace.
Qualifications / Experience:
- EU Passport or valid Residence Permit is mandatory in order to work in Greece.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as Director of F&B within a luxury hotel brand. International experience will be considered as a plus.
- Degree in Hospitality Management or relevant proven experience.
- Fluency in English. Fluency in Greek will be considered as a plus.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledgeable of all aspects of food and beverage operations, including restaurants and bar management, banqueting, room service, culinary and stewarding.
- Strong experience in driving marketing and public relation activities in Food & Beverage.
- Current knowledge of international hospitality Food & Beverage trends.
