The Chinese Restaurant Manager is responsible for leading the overall operations of the Chinese Restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, high service standards, strong financial performance, and full compliance with hotel policies and brand standards. This role oversees restaurant colleagues, drives team development, maintains operational excellence, and delivers memorable dining experiences that reflect the hotel's luxury hospitality standards.

As Chinese Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Chinese Restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and compliance with hotel standards.
  • Lead, coach and motivate the restaurant team to deliver consistent, high-quality service and achieve departmental goals.
  • Plan and manage staffing levels, duty rosters and manpower deployment according to operational requirements.
  • Maintain a strong presence on the restaurant floor, especially during peak periods, to ensure service excellence and guest satisfaction.
  • Handle guest enquiries, feedback and complaints professionally, ensuring timely resolution and effective service recovery.
  • Monitor service quality, cleanliness, restaurant ambiance and colleague grooming standards at all times.
  • Drive revenue growth through upselling initiatives, promotions, special events and innovative dining experiences.
  • Collaborate closely with the Chinese Kitchen team on menu implementation, seasonal promotions and product enhancements.
  • Monitor departmental performance, including revenue, expenses, labor costs and inventory control, to achieve financial objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, hygiene, sanitation and workplace safety requirements.
  • Identify training and development needs, conduct regular coaching and build a high-performing team culture.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with Culinary, Banquets, Sales & Marketing, Finance, Purchasing and other hotel departments.
  • Ensure all luxury service standards, brand expectations and guest satisfaction targets are consistently achieved.
  • Support VIP functions, special events and other operational projects as assigned by management.

As Chinese Restaurant Manager, we expect from you

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience in a Chinese restaurant, luxury hotel, or international hospitality brand.
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, service standards and guest engagement.
  • Good understanding of revenue management, cost control and team leadership.
  • Excellent communication, coaching and interpersonal skills.
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Mandarin.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and restaurant POS systems.
  • Positive, service-oriented and able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
