About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich within the Culinary Department, the Chef de Partie is responsible for state-of-the-art culinary experience for our colleagues. The Chef de Partie reports to the Executive Sous Chef and Executive Chef.

 

This full-time role as a chef for our staff restaurant requires a high level of responsibility and runs from Monday to Friday, with an annual salary of 65'000.00 CHF. As a chef, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Ensuring the flawless preparation, quality, and appealing presentation of our food in accordance with our high-quality standards
  • Ensuring that food waste is kept to a minimum
  • Providing creative support in developing a new, varied menu for our staff canteen
  • Coordinating with the supervisor to request goods and checking the daily receipt of goods
  • Ensuring daily adherence to hygiene regulations and cleanliness within the framework of the HACCP guidelines

 

As a Chef for our staff restaurant, we expect you to have:

  • Extensive cooking experience
  • Eye for detail and creativity – to bring your culinary signature to the table
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
  • Strong self-management skills – to independently organize your work area
  • High level of commitment, with a structured, results-oriented, and independent working style
  • High quality awareness
  • Very good knowledge of German or English
