Assistant Overnight Security Manager

Mandarin Oriental New York is looking for an Assistant Overnight Security Manager to join our Security team.

About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental New York within the Security Department in New York City, the Assistant Overnight Security Manager is responsible for assisting the Assistant Director of Security in establishing and implementing security policies and procedures in accordance with Mandarin Oriental corporate guidelines, and insuring compliance to all local, state and federal regulations.

The Assistant Overnight Security Manager will report directly to the Assistant Director of Security.

As Assistant Overnight Security Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Supervise and provide guidance/support to Security Supervisors and House Officers.
  • Create a safe and secure environment for our guests and colleagues.
  • Assist in development and training of all employees on all OSHA related rules and regulations.
  • Review and follow-up on all incident, loss and accident reports.
  • Assist in the implementation of hotel’s key control program.
  • Be responsible for the fire life safety policies and procedures.
  • Develop and train all colleagues in emergency procedure preparedness.
  • Ensure compliance of Key Control Policy by auditing procedures.
  • Represent Asst. Director of Security in his/her absence.
  • Act as systems administrator for access control system and CCTV systems.
  • Assist in the follow-up of all incident, accident and loss reports.

As Assistant Overnight Security Manager, we expect from you: 

  • A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a private security environment.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in a luxury market.
  • Must possess a certificate of fitness as a Fire Safety Director.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must excel in training, leading and motivating colleagues.

Salary and Benefits:

  •  Salary $75,000 - $80,000 yearly
  • A competitive benefits package, including health, dental and vision, 401(K), etc
