About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich, within the designated department, the Hourly-Based Support is responsible for assisting the team with daily tasks while ensuring exceptional service for guests. This role reports to the designated Supervisor or Manager.

As Service Casual, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Professional support for our guests
• Supporting the team in our various F&B outlets and events
• Providing the required mise en place
• Supporting the team in the accomplishment of daily tasks
• Assisting in the preparation and execution of special events
• Adherence to hygiene regulations and cleanliness within the framework of the HACCP guidelines

As Steward Casual, you will be responsible for the following tasks:   

• Cleaning and storage of cutlery, glass, crockery and porcelain, as well as cooking utensils
• Cleaning all kitchen equipment, appliances, floors and walls
• Correct handling and use of the various cleaning agents
• Proper use, care and cleaning of all equipment used
• All waste disposal in accordance with appropriate company guidelines
• Proper storage, maintenance and handling of equipment

As a Housekeeping Casual, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Carrying out uniform fittings and sewing work
• Receiving, checking and delivering guest laundry
• Ensuring that guest laundry is cleaned properly
• Proper sorting, cleaning, ironing and packing of guest laundry 
• Managing and issuing hotel uniforms
• Support with inventories

As hourly based support, we expect from you:

• Engaging communication and expression skills, open-mindedness as well as teamwork skills  
• Excellent manners and well-groomed appearance, as well as a positive charisma
