About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental within the stewarding Department in Sanya , the steward is responsible for Provide operational assistance behind house areas to Kitchen and Restaurant areas for them to achieve efficient service delivery. This is to be achieved using the Mandarin Oriental principles.

The steward reports to the SUPERVISOR.

As steward, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Cleaning and scrubbing kitchens and dish washing areas.
• Washing and scrubbing cooking utensils and equipment.
• Washing and storing chinaware, cutlery, silverware.
• Collecting and storing garbage.
• To supervise and support Casual Stewards in carrying out their duties.
• Carryout routine maintenance operations as directed by Chief Steward or Shift Leader.
• Keep always working areas and access to clean and tidy.
• Use safety signage Operate dishwashing equipment. Operate pressure gun vacuum cleaner-scrubbing machine.
