About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong Corporate Office within the Brand & Reputation Department, the Senior Brand Identity Manager is responsible for elevating the Group’s global brand communications and ensuring consistency across all guest touchpoints. The successful candidate will collaborate with both local and international agencies, as well as work closely with corporate departments and individual hotels to implement and uphold brand standards. This includes developing, updating, and managing brand guidelines and materials that reflect the brand’s luxury positioning. The role demands seamless cross-functional collaboration with teams such as Rooms, F&B, Wellness and Sustainability, aligning with the broader brand strategy to establish effective systems and processes. As a senior member of the team, the ideal candidate will embody the Mandarin Oriental vision, demonstrate a deep understanding of the luxury hospitality market, and bring a passion for brand storytelling that enhances the guest experience at every level.

As Senior Brand Identity Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Elevate MOHG’s global brand communications Support and collaborate with the Global Head of Brand Identity to drive the ongoing development and refinement of the Group’s brand identity, ensuring consistent and impactful communication across all global touchpoints.

  • Ensure Brand Consistency Across All Touchpoints Work with Global Head of Brand Identity to oversee corporate brand requirements to ensure a unified brand expression across all internal and external programmes, products, and communications.

  • Group-Wide Design Oversight Regularly update and refine brand playbooks to reflect evolving standards. Support project owners with brand-related materials, including initiatives such as Fans of M.O., Mandarin Oriental Shop, Gift Cards, and Exceptional Homes.

  • Support Hotel Branding Projects Assist Global Head of Brand Identity with the support from Brand Identity Manager in managing branded materials for pre-opening, rebranding, and operating hotels.

  • Collaborate on Design Solutions Partner with the Global Head of Brand Identity and external agencies to develop design solutions for hotels and corporate departments, including logo identities and brand applications.

  • Manage Brand Systems and Explore New Revenue Streams Oversee the Central Storage System and Merchandising System, while identifying opportunities to generate new revenue through the Mandarin Oriental Shop.

  • Develop Innovative Communication Materials Create and implement new initiatives for print and digital communication platforms to enhance brand storytelling and engagement with Global Head of Brand Identity.

  • Oversee financial planning for brand initiatives Take ownership of budgeting processes for brand-related projects, including planning, monitoring expenditures, and tracking performance against allocated resources.

As Senior Brand Identity Manager, we expect from you: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing/ communications, or a related field

  • At least 8 years of experience in Marketing/Brand/ Creative or Design Agency (Luxury hospitality, lifestyle or related experience is preferable)

  • Experience working in regional or global roles with a wide range of stakeholders

  • Relationship-builder with excellent communication skills 

  • Skilled at handling multiple projects with agility and precision

  • Experience managing budgets, agencies and external partners

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment with a solutions-oriented mindset

  • Willing to travel with Global Head of Brand identity when required

  • Well versed with Canva, PowerPoint and Excel

  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Chinese is a strong advantage
