About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Milan within the Security Department in Milan, the Security Manager is responsible for the overall security and safety of the hotel, as he/she will oversee the entire operational and administrative duties of the Security department. He/ She will ensure conformity to work standards and consistency in carrying out departmental operations of security and safety related to guests and colleagues within the premises of the hotel. The Security Manager reports to the Director of Rooms and the Director of Engineering.

As Security Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • To enforce work standard and follow-up on colleagues work performance about safety/security procedures and standards.
  • To update operational information and procedures.
  • To coach, counsel, and discipline colleagues as appropriate.
  • To oversee and follow-up on overall outsourced security services performance.
  • To ensure CCTV surveillance, Alarm, and Patrol systems are in good working order and kept in full respect of the current legislation. These include computer, printers, radio communication sets hardware and operating systems, with double check and tests.
  • To conduct and put-up investigation report, in coordination with the outsourced security company.
  • To conduct and participate to daily/weekly/monthly security debrief and Security meeting and actively participate in departmental and management programs.
  • To oversee safeguard company keys and passwords and the overall Security P&Ps and SOPs.
  • To be responsible for all reporting activities and for meeting deadlines and precise completion of all reports and documentation.
  • To oversee the incident reports (IR) immediate compilation and by monitoring the outsourced company in gathering/picking up all relevant information from colleagues and witnesses with a detailed documentation and proof.
  • To update the Mandarin Oriental GSIICS security management portal within the appropriate time and manner. Provide to instruct / supervise the outsourced staff on the use of the port itself, limited to the tasks accessible to them. 

As Security Manager, we expect from you: 

  • At least 5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
  • To be a computer literate and an avid user of office automation application such as Words, Excel, Visio, etc.
  • To possess excellent written and verbal skills in Italian and English
