About the job:

The Restaurant, Bars & Experiences Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations, guest experience, and commercial performance of the resort’s restaurants, bars, lounges, and experiential dining initiatives. This role plays a key part in ensuring exceptional service standards, operational excellence, innovative guest programming, and memorable dining experiences aligned with Mandarin Oriental’s luxury positioning.

As Restaurant, Bars & Experiences Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Oversee the daily operations of all assigned restaurants, bars, lounges, and guest experience activations to ensure the highest levels of service and operational excellence.
  • Ensure all Food & Beverage colleagues consistently deliver exceptional guest experiences in line with Mandarin Oriental standards and Forbes expectations.
  • Drive profitability, operational efficiency, and guest satisfaction across all assigned outlets.
  • Lead, coach, motivate, and develop Food & Beverage teams to maintain a highly engaged and service-oriented culture.
  • Conduct regular operational briefings and ensure all colleagues are fully informed of daily priorities, guest expectations, promotions, and service standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, departmental procedures, hygiene standards, and local health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor and analyse operational performance including guest feedback, financial results, service quality, and quality assurance measurements such as LQE, Forbes, and MO Pillars.
  • Coordinate and supervise the preparation, presentation, and service of food and beverage offerings to ensure consistency and quality at all times.
  • Work closely with the culinary and bar teams to develop innovative dining concepts, beverage experiences, seasonal activations, and destination-led guest experiences aligned with the Luxor market.
  • Support the execution of promotional calendars, special events, partnerships, and experiential programming designed to enhance brand awareness and revenue generation.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Public Relations teams to promote Food & Beverage offerings through campaigns, media exposure, partnerships, and social media engagement.
  • Encourage innovative and immersive guest experiences that differentiate the resort within the luxury hospitality and destination dining market in Egypt.
  • Monitor competitor activity, industry trends, and emerging hospitality concepts locally and internationally to ensure the resort remains relevant and competitive.
  • Ensure all outlet reservation systems, POS systems, and operational technologies are maintained and functioning effectively.
  • Manage departmental operating budgets, forecasting, labour productivity, and cost control initiatives.
  • Handle guest feedback and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring appropriate service recovery and follow-up.
  • Maintain strong visibility within the operation and build positive relationships with guests, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Support sustainability initiatives and responsible operational practices in line with MOHG ESG objectives.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties or special projects as assigned by Hotel Management.

As Restaurant, Bars & Experiences Manager, we expect from you:

  • Previous Food & Beverage leadership experience within luxury hotels, resorts, lifestyle hospitality, fine dining restaurants, or premium bar environments.
  • Strong understanding of luxury guest service standards and experiential hospitality concepts.
  • Proven experience managing restaurant and bar operations within a high-volume luxury environment.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills with the ability to motivate and inspire colleagues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-centric mindset.
  • Strong operational, organisational, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Good financial acumen with experience managing labour costs, forecasting, budgeting, and outlet profitability.
  • Passion for food, beverage, entertainment, and guest experience innovation.
  • Strong understanding of current restaurant, bar, and lifestyle hospitality trends.
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced and dynamic luxury resort environment.
  • Previous pre-opening experience is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in English is required; Arabic is highly preferred. Additional languages are advantageous.
  • Previous experience with luxury hospitality systems and POS platforms is preferred.
