Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona is looking for a Reservations Agent to join our Reservations Department team.

Mandarin Oriental Barcelona Hotel has 120 rooms, 28 of which are suites. All of our exquisite rooms and suites are uniquely decorated by Patricia Urquiola.

In addition to accommodation, the hotel has rooms available for all kinds of events, such as weddings, meetings, and business gatherings.

Regarding the hotel's gastronomy, we have a 2 Michelin-star restaurant, a wonderful cocktail bar, an indoor garden (Mimosa), and a pool terrace where guests can enjoy light dinners or spectacular views.

The hotel Spa consists of 8 treatment rooms for facial and body treatments, an indoor pool, and a gym.

 

About the job

Based in the Reservations Department at Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona, the Reservations Agent is responsible for managing reservations efficiently and providing exceptional service to guests and clients. The Reservations Agent reports to the Reservations Manager.

As a Reservations Agent, you will be responsible for the following duties:

Data input into the PMS system in the correct format as set in the PMS Operational manual.

• Ensure that communication with other departments, notably Credit, Sales, Concierge, Housekeeping, Front Desk and any other concerned department is maintained with information which pertains to them.

• Prepare daily on-books reports.

• Prepare reservations made the day before for the Reservation Manager.

• Prepare on day cancellation report.

• Prepare cancellation report for the next 10 days.

• Prepare reservation changes report for the day before.

• Answer TSR requests promptly.

• Input TSR reservations into PMS.

• Retrieve previous correspondence.

• File updated correspondence.

 

As a Reservations Agent, we expect from you:

 

  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent hotel product knowledge.

  • Highly responsible & reliable.

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team and enjoy multiculturalism.

  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, always remaining calm and courteous.

  • Customer-oriented attitude.

  • Commitment and professionalism.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a luxury hotel.

  • English language skills (additional languages are a plus).

  • Flexible schedules and hours, willingness to work on weekends & holidays is required.
