Reception Manager, The Aubrey

We’re looking for a Reception Manager to join our iconic team at The Aubrey.
The Aubrey is a Japanese Izakaya & Bar concept with 132 covers and a private dining room serving brunch, dinner and late-night drinks. Our menu features classic dishes from Japanese cuisine, in interpretations that adapt and change with the seasons.
The restaurant has been created as a partnership between Maximal Concepts and Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London. Maximal Concepts is a Hong Kong-based company that has since expanded to locations including Singapore, Las Vegas and Vancouver.
As a Reception Manager at The Aubrey, you will be responsible for:
Organising the seating plans before service and managing the book during service.
Training and leading new and existing colleagues in the reception team.
Warmly greeting all guests upon arrival, building rapport with new guests and recognising regular guests.
Communicating guest notes and information to the team prior and during service.
Liaising with the Mangement Team for special information, requests and bookings.
As a Reception Manager, you will be working on a rotating shift basis, Monday to Sunday, 39 hours a week. Shift patterns will vary but are mainly evening or late-night shifts (including weekends and bank holidays), so flexibility is required where applicable.
To be a successful Reception Manager, you will have strong customer service, leadership and administrative skills and previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a luxury fast-paced environment is essential.
