Purchasing Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Purchasing Manager, you will assist the Director of Finance in the responsibilities of controlling the hotel business in respect of Purchasing and Materials Management. You will play a key role in ensuring the operation of our procurement process and maintaining high-quality standards while optimizing costs.

The main focus of your job will be:

  • Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans to meet the hotel's operational needs and financial objectives
  • Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best quality products and services at the most competitive prices
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards
  • Oversee inventory management including stock levels, storage and rotation to minimize waste and optimize efficiency
  • Collaborate with department heads to understand their procurement requirements and provide effective solutions
  • Monitor market trends and pricing changes to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with purchasing policies and procedures
  • Manage a team of purchasing staff, providing guidance, training and performance evaluations

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

  • Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry, preferably in a hotel environment
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers
  • Very good knowledge of Czech and English at a communicative level
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
