About the Job 

Based at Mandarin Oriental, Geneva, the Doorman reports directly to the Chef Concierge. 

As a Doorman, you will be responsible for :

• Be present on the hotel forecourt between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.
•  Open the door of the guest's car or taxi upon arrival and departure.
• Greet guests in accordance with Mandarin Oriental standards of procedure.
• Confirm with guests the number of bags to be handled.
• Mark the number of bags on both tickets before giving one to the guest.
• Direct the guest to the front desk, accompanying them if the workload allows.
• Introduce the guest to the front desk clerk.
• Arrange for the car to be taken care of if necessary, according to established parking procedures.
• When parting with the guest in front of the front desk, greet the guest according to established MO procedures.
• Deliver all luggage to the room within 8 minutes of the guest's arrival, bringing it all at once.
• When delivering luggage to rooms, announce your arrival and greet the guest according to Mandarin Oriental procedures.
• Place the luggage in the room in such a way that it can be handled easily and efficiently by the guest.
• Hang covers in the wardrobe and offer to place the guest's suitcases on the luggage rack.
• Monitor the comings and goings of guests in the lobby, as well as their luggage and personal belongings.
• Avoid excessive conversation with taxi drivers, bodyguards, etc.
• For any messages received from outside, forward them immediately to the Concierge on duty.

As Doorman we expect from you: 

• Previous experience in laundry and dry cleaning
• Team spirit, curiosity, and a desire to learn and grow.
• Good communication skills and a flexible attitude.
• Valid Swiss work permit or European passport.
