PIZZA CHEF 

 

Mandarin Oriental, Lago di Como’s Pizza Chef is in charge of managing both the preparation of pizza and the ApePizza’s order, ensuring that high standards and correct company’s procedures are met at all times. 

 

Duties and responsibilities: 

  • Check standard recipes ensuring proper portion control, uniformity of taste and quality 

  • Be responsible for the quality check of all food productions in the section where employed, maintaining the highest standards achievable 

  • Ensure that quality, hygiene and other standards are kept or surpassed at all times 

  • Propose new services and products for our guests and initiate them when approved 

  • Carry out the kitchen requisitioning and ordering 

  • Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the Head Chef or Executive Chef from time to time 

 

Requirements: 

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a luxury environment 

  • Globally recognized culinary qualification or degree 

  • Technical knowledge including effective use of the provided materials 

  • Good knowledge of English 

  • Communication, problem solving- and time-management skills 

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment 

  • Proactivity will be considered a plus
