About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai within the People & Culture department in Dubai, the People & Culture Coordinator is responsible to assist with enhancing the overall colleague experience and fostering a workplace culture that promotes engagement, inclusion, and well-being. This role is responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of engagement initiatives, helping to create a vibrant, positive, and high-performance environment where colleagues feel valued, connected, and motivated. People & Culture Coordinator reports to the People & Culture Manager.

As a People & Culture Coordinator, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Coordinate and implement engagement programs, events, and initiatives that build team spirit and community across the company.
  • Lead recognition efforts by managing programs that celebrate colleague achievements, milestones, and contributions.
  • Support cultural diversity and inclusivity through events and campaigns that reflect and celebrate the company's diverse workforce.
  • Manage internal communications and engagement platforms to ensure colleagues are informed and aligned with company values and updates.
  • Assist in developing wellness programs and P&C operations, contributing to a healthy work-life balance and smooth departmental functioning.
  • Provide a dedicated and effective P&C advisory service to all colleagues (e.g. queries related to compensation, benefits, policies, procedures, organizational change, etc.).

As a People & Culture Coordinator, we expect from you: 

  • 1–2 years of experience in colleague engagement or P&C administration, ideally within luxury hospitality.
  • Bachelor's degree in P&C, Organisational Development, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect across all organisational levels.
  • Proven ability to plan and execute engagement events, team-building activities, or wellness programs.
  • Competence in data analysis and insight presentation, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Canva.
  • Solid understanding of colleague engagement and well-being best practices, paired with a proactive and organised approach.
