People and Culture Coordinator

About the job

Based Mandarin Oriental Jakarta, the People and Culture Coordinator is responsible for supporting the planning and execution of Colleague Experience, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Employer Branding, including but not limited to Colleague Events, Activities, Communication, Partnership, etc. This role plays a key part in promoting a positive workplace culture and colleague experience, strengthening communication across departments, and ensuring smooth execution of P&C-led activities that align with the MOHG’s values. The People and Culture Coordinator reports to the People & Culture Manager.
 

As People and Culture Coordinator, you will be responsible for the following duties:

1. Colleague Relations & Recognition​ 

  • Organize all colleague recognition programs, including Colleague of the Month, Manager of the Quarter, Guest Comments, and Circle Moments of Delight.​ 

  • Plan and execute colleague events such as Townhalls, Birthday Celebrations, Wellness Activities, etc.​ 
  • Apply colleague engagement strategies regularly across communication channels (Email, Beekeeper, Social Media, Entrance TV, Notice Boards).​ ​

2. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)​ 

  • Plan and organize all CSR initiatives, ensuring alignment with MOHG’s annual community engagement hour targets.​ 

  • Prepare detailed CSR event reports and submit via the Greenview Portal.​ 
  • Support reporting and documentation for sustainability-related initiatives.​ ​

3. Colleague Restaurant Management (MO Makan)​ 

  • Manage reporting related to the colleague restaurant, including daily menu updates, cover reports, feedback collection, and utensil inventory.​ 

  • Facilitate monthly MO Makan Committee meeting with the Executive Chef and Hotel Manager.​ 
  • Set up monthly walkthroughs with relevant departments to ensure food quality and cleanliness standards. 

4. Colleague Facilities ​ 

  • Apply maintenance standards for colleague facilities: lockers, communication boards, and Heart of the House areas.​ 
  • Create and maintain visual engaging materials (e.g., posters, signage, staircase stickers) in our Heart of the House that align with the hotel’s brand.​ 
  • Analyze inventory and expenses related to colleague facilities and the P&C Office; liaise with Purchasing as needed.​ ​

5. Colleague Communication​ 

  • Plan communication and activity coordination for the People+ platform, including briefings, refreshers, and follow-ups.​ 

  • Design and develop visual communication standards (e.g.,poster, video, and announcement) that reflect brand identity and culture.​ ​

6. General Support & Reporting​ 

  • Support the preparation of P&C annual budget for colleague events and internal communications.​ 
  • Support Manager/Director of People & Culture by performing additional tasks as required, according to departmental needs. ​ 

    As People and Culture Coordinator, we expect from you:

    Educational Background 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Human Resources, or related field. 

    Experience 

    • Minimum of 1 year experience in Human Resources/Employee Relations/Event, preferably within the hospitality industry. 
    • Experience in organizing employee events, CSR initiatives, or communication campaigns is an advantage. 

    Skills & Competencies 

    • Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills, especially in planning and executing events or programs. 
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the organization. 
    • Proven ability to collaborate, exchange ideas, and work towards shared solutions. 
    • Strong communication skills—both written and verbal. 
    • High level of discretion and confidentiality in handling internal matters. 

    Technical Proficiency 

    • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook. 
    • Experience with digital communication tools or design platforms (e.g., Canva, Capcut) is an advantage.
