Assist in the coordination of all maintenance & repairs of the facilities and equipment. Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes.
Responsibilities:
Respond to and attend to repair requests.
Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests.
Understand and operate advanced electrical, plumbing, air conditioning & refrigeration, laundry & kitchen equipment, solar systems and boiler systems.
Communicate with different types of people to comprehend what they want and to provide them with information and assistance.
Check for new maintenance requests from the PMS (Property Management System) and update remarks once the task is completed.
Interpret readings from meters & gauges and other measuring units.
Prioritize and organize work assignments.
Read and understand test equipment, measuring devices, and safety manuals.
Perform maintenance activities in the guest room, like plunging toilets, unclogging drains, and repairing all types of hardware, electrical equipment, including lamps, air conditioners / HVAC and AC ducts.
Perform maintenance activities in hotel public areas like plunging toilets, unclogging drains, repairing all types of hardware, plumbing and electrical equipment, and cosmetic items.
Be available for any emergencies, act in an engineering capacity to protect guests and associates, and preserve the building and its systems during the emergency.
Read and understand blueprints, schematic drawings, and technical parts breakdowns.
Carry out specific oral and written instructions.
Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
Maintain the hotel facility and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and all utility shut-offs for buildings.
Communicate each day’s activities and problems that occur to the other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.
Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries
To abide by all rules, regulations, policies, LQE, MOQA and Safe, Sound & Sustainable by Mandarin Oriental standards.
To be responsible for retrieving and completing work orders as per policies and procedures in HotSoS.
To be responsible for completing all work order from HotSoS prior to ending the shift.
Complete safety training and certifications.
Properly store flammable materials.
Attend meetings and trainings as requested
Perform other duties as assigned by the engineering supervisor or Assistant Director of Engineering.
