About the Role
We are seeking passionate, driven and service-oriented individuals to join the inaugural Khun Ankana Academy as Khun Ankana Ambassadors.
The Khun Ankana Academy is a flagship academy within the Service Excellence Academy of MO University, established to preserve and transfer the unique Guest Relations culture that has distinguished Mandarin Oriental for generations.
Based initially at Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok, you will undertake an immersive 12 month development journey inspired by the legacy of Khun Ankana, learning directly from experienced Guest Relations leaders and Service Culture ambassadors. Through structured learning, mentorship and operational experience, you will develop expertise in personalised guest engagement, emotional intelligence, service recovery and luxury hospitality leadership.
Upon successful completion of the Ambassador Programme, you will be considered for Guest Relations leadership opportunities across the Mandarin Oriental portfolio, including flagship properties, luxury resorts and future hotel openings worldwide. As part of a dedicated global talent pipeline, Ambassadors will be prepared to become future custodians of Mandarin Oriental's renowned Graceful Asian Style service culture.
Key Learning and Development
• Champion and consistently demonstrate Mandarin Oriental's Graceful Asian Style service philosophy in every guest interaction.
• Learn and apply the principles of personalised, emotionally intelligent and anticipatory guest engagement.
• Participate in structured Academy learning, operational rotations and mentorship under Master Mentors and Senior Leaders.
• Actively contributes to service innovation, guest recognition and experience enhancement initiatives.
• Support the preservation, documentation and transfer of Mandarin Oriental's unique Guest Relations heritage and best practices.
• Represent the Academy and Mandarin Oriental brand standards during cross-property assignments, task forces and new hotel openings.
As a Khun Ankana Ambassador, we expect you to have
• The flexibility and willingness to undertake international assignments, hotel openings and global mobility opportunities across the Mandarin Oriental portfolio.
• A genuine passion for luxury hospitality and creating exceptional, personalised guest experiences.
• Outstanding interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills, with natural warmth, presence and emotional intelligence.
• Fluency in Thai and English, both written and spoken.
• Italian language capability is preferred. The ambition to build a long-term international career within Guest Relations, Service Excellence and hotel leadership.
• The highest standards of professionalism, cultural sensitivity, discretion and commitment to representing the Mandarin Oriental brand.
