About The Role
As Housekeeping Supervisor at Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid, you will support the Executive Housekeeper in managing daily housekeeping operations, ensuring rooms and public areas meet MO standards. You will supervise room attendants and support staff, perform quality inspections, coordinate with Front Office and Maintenance, and help deliver legendary cleanliness and presentation across the hotel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach and schedule housekeeping staff; conduct daily briefings and ensure consistent execution of cleaning standards and procedures.
  • Perform regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to guarantee presentation, cleanliness and readiness; implement corrective actions when required.
  • Manage linen, amenities and cleaning supplies inventory; report shortages, assist in stock control and liaise with Stores for replenishment.
  • Coordinate closely with Front Office, Maintenance and F&B to handle arrivals, VIPs, maintenance issues and special requests.
  • Train and develop team members on cleaning techniques, safety (HACCP/FLHSSE) and company standards; support performance management.
  • Maintain and update housekeeping logs, lost & found records and maintenance reports; ensure compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.
  • Promote a positive team culture, ensure compliance with company policies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent knowledge of luxury hotel housekeeping operations and guest service standards.
  • Highly responsible, reliable and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to remain calm, courteous, and solution-focused under pressure.
  • A collaborative mindset, working seamlessly with multicultural teams.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in luxury hospitality, ideally in housekeeping supervision or a similar role.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish; additional languages are an advantage.
