About the job

Based at Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona, within the Food & Beverage Department, the Hostess / Waiter/tress is responsible for delivering an exceptional dining experience by welcoming guests, managing reservations and seating, and providing attentive and personalised food and beverage service.
The Hostess / Waitress reports to the Restaurant Manager / Assistant Restaurant Manager.

As Hostess / Waiter/tress, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Welcome guests warmly and ensure a positive first impression at all times.
• Manage reservations, waiting lists and table assignments efficiently.
• Escort guests to their tables and present menus.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and provide menu recommendations.
• Serve food and drinks according to Mandarin Oriental service standards.
• Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience and handle requests professionally.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant and front-of-house areas.
• Process payments and support closing procedures when required.
• Work closely with kitchen and service teams to ensure seamless operations.

• Excellent customer service orientation and attention to detail.
• Highly responsible, reliable and well-presented.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, luxury environment.
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a multicultural team and eagerness to learn.
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, always remaining calm and courteous.

We are looking for a professional, committed individual with a genuine passion for hospitality and service excellence.

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant
• Fluent English is required; additional languages are an advantage
