About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus, within the F&B Department in Istanbul, the Host & Hostess is responsible for handling special requests and maintaining a clean and organized workstation. The incumbent will provide service that goes beyond the guests’ expectations by anticipating their needs and performing service based on standards set forth by management.

As "Host & Hostess", you will be responsible for the following duties:

• To demonstrate pride in the workplace and a high level of commitment.
• Support company's philosophy and company culture using Pillars and Legendary Quality Experiences on a daily basis to ensure Guest Satisfaction and the achievement of our Mission Statement.
• To ensure that the Fire Life Health Safety and Security company standards and HACCP Standards are maintained and carried out. They must be monitored regularly to assist in scoring 100% on the MOHG health and safety audit.
• To demonstrates security conscious behaviors in respect of guests, colleagues and hotel property / welfare and reports suspicious circumstances to the Manager
• To provide excellent service at all time to all of our guests
• To ensure that reservations are handled in a friendly and professional manner
• To assist guests courteously and efficiently
• To set up tables as per the standard
• To collect and update Guests’ database

As "Host & Hostess", we expect from you:

• To assist in training
• To organize the menus for each service and ensure they are cleaned and in good condition, check menus stock level
• To present menus and wine lists and also assist in service during meal period.
• To collect daily newspaper and set up accordingly
• To make administrative duties including daily report, competition check, ordering of office supplies
• To communicate with Kitchen for any guests’ special request and dietary requirements
• To wish each and every guest a warm farewell and thank them for coming
• To fully inform and aware about all information connecting to Food and Beverage venues and Mandarin Oriental Bodrum generally
• To have role of good Brand ambassador.
