Duties and Responsibilities
Recommends, coordinates, contracts and produces all entertainment, events and exhibits for resort property. Creates and communicates the vision for the department and oversees all operational, financial, promotional and communications aspects of all events and exhibits.
Manages the daily activities and performance of the Special Events.
Follow up on all enquiries in order to maximise the sales and letting capacity of Meeting and Events Diary space and Hotel Bedrooms assuming a proactive role in maximising revenue potential from every enquiry.
Supervises the research, development and production of all events, exhibits and entertainment for the property
Monitors all operational aspects of projects including set-up, daily schedules, and event management.
Manages ongoing and daily performance of consultants, vendor, suppliers and contractors to achieve project schedule, budget, and quality goals for the organization.
Develops an event management strategy that is aligned with the company's business strategy and leads its execution.
To evaluate and respond to all enquires for Meeting and Events and Diary space received by telephone, email or other channel, residential and non-residential, to departmental standards
To use Diary Management and Yield Management techniques in the evaluation and management of enquiries, and to use the selling strategies and tools in place for Event space and Accommodation to maximise revenue for the hotel
To contact clients and follow up on all enquiries and event bookings in order to maximise the conversion of enquiries.
Creates and achieves the Special Events and Entertainments' annual operating budget
Requirements
Proficient in written and spoken English
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure.
Strong leadership skills and ability to develop and motivate his/her team.
Outgoing and enthusiastic personality.
