About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Pudong, Shanghai within the Rooms Admin Department. The Director of Rooms report to the Hotel Manager.

As Director of Rooms, you will be responsible for the following duties:

The Director of Rooms reports to the Hotel Manager and oversees directly all Front Office and Housekeeping colleagues, including Front Office Manager, Executive Housekeeper, Telephone Manager, Chief Concierge, and Chief Butler. 

As Director of Rooms, we expect from you: 

Educational level                               

·Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management

Work experience                                   

·At least 2 years experience at the same position in a hotel of similar deluxe international standard

 Job knowledge                                      

• In depth knowledge of Housekeeping, Front Office and Laundry operations
• Knowledge of Revenue management, PMS and reservations
• Experience dealing with all levels including owners, corporate offices, support staff and all hotel employees
• Excellent overall communication skills
• Able to multi-tasks
• The ability to work well in a team environment
• Knowledge on contract skill experiences
• Knowledge efficiency on complain handling situation
• Train the trainer

Personal qualities                                  

• Good knowledge of MS office software and hotel PMS
• Must possess a good written and verbal command of the English Language
