Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is seeking a Digital Product Manager, China to join our Digital team.

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Corporate Office in Hong Kong, or in Shanghai, China, the Digital Product Manager, China will support Mandarin Oriental’s Win in China strategy by elevating the Group’s digital channel experience for Chinese guests, with a particular focus on WeChat.
The role is responsible for defining and delivering the product roadmap for Mandarin Oriental’s digital channels in China, supporting channel activation, customer engagement and revenue growth. Operating at the intersection of product development, channel commercialisation, customer experience and data, the position works closely with stakeholders across Commercial, Marketing, CRM, Technology and hotel teams globally. The position reports to the Head of Digital Experience, China.
As Digital Product Manager, China, you will:

Product Roadmap: Define and maintain the product roadmap and delivery plan for Mandarin Oriental’s digital channels in China, with a particular focus on the WeChat Mini Program.

Product Development: Gather and prioritise business requirements and translate them into clear functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and technical solutions.

Guest Experience: Work closely with UX and UI partners to shape intuitive user journeys, interaction flows and digital experience standards for Chinese guests.

Agile Delivery: Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, release readiness and other agile delivery activities, ensuring alignment across design, engineering and quality assurance teams.

Project Oversight: Oversee end-to-end product delivery, including status tracking, milestone management, risk identification and coordination with external partners and vendors.

Systems Integration: Collaborate with Mandarin Oriental’s global programmes and systems teams to help maintain a connected, consistent and scalable digital infrastructure.

Channel Activation: Support the execution of the Group’s channel strategy in China and implement guidelines for managing Mandarin Oriental’s owned digital channels.

Hotel Onboarding: Coordinate and support the onboarding and activation of overseas hotels on the WeChat Mini Program, including local content creation, offer development and rate-plan setup.

Portfolio Development: Support the design and implementation of hotel products and offers across owned channels, working closely with Group Revenue and hotel teams.

Channel Operations: Work with channel operation partners to manage day-to-day activities, including contracts, campaigns, rate-plan updates, new hotel configuration and platform or partner filing requirements.

Performance Monitoring: Collect and analyse campaign, offer and product performance data to identify opportunities to strengthen channel plans and improve results.

Marketing Collaboration: Partner with Performance Marketing teams to plan and execute campaigns that drive traffic and conversion across Mandarin Oriental’s owned digital channels.

Data & Insights: Use analytics to evaluate campaign performance, user behaviour, funnel conversion, feature adoption and overall platform engagement.

Continuous Optimisation: Implement iterative product improvements using performance data, A/B testing and user feedback to help improve conversion and return on investment.

Commercial Recommendations: Translate customer and performance insights into actionable product enhancements and commercially relevant recommendations.
As Digital Product Manager, China, We Expect From You
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Business, Digital, Technology or a related field.
- At least six years of experience in product management, product ownership or digital platform roles.
- Experience working with consumer-facing digital products in China, particularly within WeChat or other mobile ecosystems.
- Strong knowledge of WeChat, Chinese digital behaviours and local platform requirements or constraints.
- Experience in commercial activation, marketing enablement or revenue-driven digital platforms.
- Experience within luxury, hospitality or lifestyle brands would be advantageous.
- Strong product planning, agile delivery and backlog management capabilities.
- Experience working within complex, multi-stakeholder and cross-functional environments.
- Ability to operate effectively across both strategic planning and detailed execution.
- A data-driven mindset with the ability to turn performance insights into clear actions and recommendations.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and collaboration skills.
- Professional fluency in both English and Mandarin.
