About the job

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Business Development Executive, Global Sales to support the strategic growth of our global sales efforts for the Europe & UK market. In this role, you will play a key role in supporting the wider sales team with sales activations, RFP coordination, and administrative tasks, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with business objectives. This position requires strong organizational skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for driving commercial success across global markets.

As Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for the following duties:

Sales Support

  • Assist in day-to-day sales activities for the Global Sales team.

  • Coordinate and manage logistics for global sales events, including venue selection, client invitations, event setup, attendance, and evaluation.

  • Coordinate and support delivery of ILTM Cannes, the largest industry event for MOHG in the year

  • Manage RFPs for Corporate accounts in Lanyon

  • Assist key clients with pictures, USPs and content for best-in-class representation of MOHG on partner sites and in media

  • Support accounts in collaboration with Account Managers to maximize revenue and client satisfaction.

  • Manage budget and expenses for the Global sales team.

  • Assist in maintaining high levels of data hygiene for Sales Force, PowerBI, and other reports/data as required.

  • Assist in creating captivating presentations as required

  • Support corporate RFP process for regional accounts and in collaboration with Account Managers

Prospecting Account Management

  • Serve as the main contact for a subset of prospecting accounts, managing enquiries and ensuring effective communication with hotels to convert business opportunities.

Administration

  • Assist in arranging travel for the Global Sales team

  • Perform data entry and manage the Salesforce platform, including year-end audits.

  • Handle incoming calls and general sales inboxes.

  • Manage inventory of promotional items and office supplies.

  • Maintain files and documents on internal and shared drives.

  • Oversee petty cash and prepare expense reports.

  • Manage invoices, accruals, and rechargeable budgets

Other Responsibilities

  • Uphold Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group procedures and standards of personal appearance and conduct.

  • Perform other sales support and administrative duties as assigned.

As Business Development Executive, we expect from you:

  • Prior experience in sales, particularly in transient, corporate, and group sales preferred.

  • Language proficiency in German and English (written and spoken); proficiency in other languages a bonus.

  • Strong IT skills and proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Office 365, Canva, PowerBI preferred.

  • Excellent communication and time-management skills.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.

  • Proactive and able to anticipate team needs.

  • Willingness to learn and apply new skills effectively.

  • Customer service-oriented with a friendly and professional demeanor.
