The beachfront resort is part of the sustainable resort destination of Costa Navarino, a well-established tourism destination which includes 3 other resorts. It comprises of 99 suites and villas, all with outdoor terraces and sea views, along with seven restaurants and bars.
Scope of Position:
The Assistant Housekeeping Manager reports to the Assistant Executive Housekeeper. He/She schedules and assigns cleaning and maintenance tasks to housekeeping colleagues on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Comprehends and complies with the Mandarin Oriental policies and standard operating procedures.
- Inspects, checks, and releases hotel rooms for arrivals, in accordance with the Mandarin Oriental standards.
- Maintains an overview of the daily occupancy, arrivals, departures, traces, and important guests in house.
- Creates daily task sheets for housekeeping colleagues, with special projects and traces.
- Monitors stock in pantries and acts accordingly, if refill is needed.
- Manages and oversees the daily operation on assigned floors.
- Trains, coaches and motivates housekeeping colleagues to achieve the highest quality standards.
Mandatory Requirements:
- EU passport or valid Residence Permit is mandatory in order to work in Greece.
- Minimum of 3 years' housekeeping experience and 1 year experience as an Assistant Housekeeping Manager, in a luxury resort/hotel.
- Fluency in English and Greek. Any other additional language will be considered as a plus.
- Strong overall computer literacy, not limited to MS Office.
- Ability to work on a flexible schedule.
