Location: Zurich, Switzerland

Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich is located in the heart of the Old Town, in the main business center, close to the city's leisure attractions and just a short walk from the shores of Lake Zurich. The Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich has 80 guest rooms and suites and three dining venues, including an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant and a lobby lounge. The hotel is ideal for meetings and events with its newly renovated event facilities, including a grand historic ballroom.

 

As colleague restaurant attendant, you will be responsible for the following duties:    

  • Carry out preparation and cleaning work in the staff restaurant
  • Set up the lunch & dinner buffet daily and make sure that there is always enough food available
  • Replenish the supplies in the staff restaurant and clean the coffee machine & fridge
  • Cleaning and putting away cutlery, glass, crockery and porcelain, as well as cooking utensils
  • Regular checks and inventories
  • Responsible for cleaning, maintenance and storage of porcelain, glassware, cutlery and kitchen utensils
  • Cleaning of all kitchen equipment, appliances, floors and walls
  • All waste disposal in accordance with appropriate company guidelines 

 

As colleague restaurant attendant, we expect from you:    

  • Initial experience in cleaning and service in the upscale hotel industry
  • A strong service orientation and independent way of working
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure - your position includes weekend and public holiday shifts
  • Good manners and a high level of quality awareness
  • Open-mindedness, a sense of responsibility and the ability to work in a team
  • Good knowledge English. Further foreign language skills are an advantage
