Based at the Corporate Office in Hong Kong, the Group Vice President of Organisational Development is responsible for the overall Organisational Development strategy, including the development, planning, directing and implementation of activities and policies. The position is also responsible and accountable for the overall performance of the Group Learning and Development function and Organisational Design. The Group VP of Organisational Development reports to the Chief People & Culture Officer.

The Group VP of Organisational Development supports the delivery of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group long-term strategic vision through defining and implementing talent management strategies, cultural evolution, learning and development programmes and is responsible for organisational development:                               

               

  • In collaboration with the Chief People & Culture Officer, continues the development of a robust workforce plan to ensure that sufficient depth and breadth of capability is available throughout MOHG in line with our growth strategy.
  • Supports the business with organisation design and companywide change programmes.
  • In consultation with the Chief People & Culture Officer, leads the talent development strategies for 13,500 leadership and non-leadership colleagues within the group. Ensures talent, training and organisational effectiveness programmes are in line with the strategies.    
  • Consults with the COO, Area Vice Presidents, Hotel General Managers and HotelPeople & Culture and Learning and Development Managers, to support strategic objectives, align organisational focus and build/ reinforce desired behaviours that support the business strategy.                          
  • Acts as a subject matter expert and consult with business leaders in identifying leadership, high potential talent and career development requirements.
  • Collaborates with People & Culture and Learning and Development Directors to deliver integrated People & Culture strategies to meet business needs.
  • Supports with hotel openings to ensure the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group Culture is adopted and integrated through the leadership team.                    
  • Regularly monitors organisational effectiveness programmes and provides progress reports to leadership, including involvement in the Colleague Experience Survey.                                        
  • Continues to analyses development requirements and recommends changes to talent development programmes to meet the future development needs of MOHG colleagues                         
  • Regularly conducts performance analysis to determine organisational gaps.
  • Designs, develops and implements competency-based leadership development programmes to build an internal leadership pipeline. Leads the performance management activities, and leadership assessment, feedback processes and development planning.
  • Manages the Hotel Management Development programme, Executive Development Centres & Executive MBA programme.
