Director of Revenue Management

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

As a Director of Revenue Management, you will be responsible for maximizing revenue and profit associated primarily with rooms, but also function space or total hotel revenue, e.g., spa, as required. You will be accountable for all transient, group and catering revenue maximization strategies, pricing, channel distribution, and positioning. You will be astute in identifying future revenue opportunities and effectively communicating strategies to your sales and marketing colleagues. As part of your role, you will also oversee the revenue and reservations departments of the hotel.

 

 

The Director of Revenue Management will be responsible for the following duties, but not limited to:

 

  • Developing the revenue strategy for the hotel in alignment with MOHG’s brand philosophies.
  • Providing strategic direction as it relates to pricing, inventory, channel management and distribution of all market segments in accordance with MOHG’s brand guidelines.
  • Leading efforts to coordinate these strategies between corporate revenue management and property leadership and ensure they are implemented and modified as market conditions fluctuate.
  • Identifying future revenue opportunities and effectively communicating strategies to the sales organization and marketing colleagues.
  • Working with Marketing Communications to develop the strategic proposition of Marketing offers, online and offline, as well as market, country and demand-specific focus areas.
  • The Director of Commerce, evaluates effectiveness of property participation in channels and determines proper spend deployment in these segments and channels.
  • From sales and third-party contracting perspective, responsible for the hotel's positioning in the various distribution channels, information accuracy and competitor positioning, including but not limited to, conducting online shops.
  • Maintaining continual awareness of current and future competitors, for example but not limited to, product, published offers/pricing, renovation plans, inventory, etc.
  • With the Director of Commercial Strategy, reviewing and finalizing weekly/monthly Forecasts.
  • Assisting in implementation and continual improvement of definite group forecasting process.
  • Preparing and organizing weekly Revenue Strategy Meetings
  • Ensures team members are developed effectively and generates a culture of high quality standards for relationship building, customer service, selling techniques, billing and processing contracts

 

What we are looking for:

 

    • Minimum 5 years of Director of Revenue Management, ideally with KSA/GCC experience.
    • Able to create objectives and make strategic decisions and recommendations based on facts, market trends and experience and knowledge.
    • Effectively develop, implement, monitor, and control sales strategies and goals.
    • Analytical approach to problem solving utilizing data to make conclusions.
    • Comprehension of all transient segments, their respective sales processes, markets, demands, sales deployment, client development and goal-setting processes.
    • Comprehension of group sales processes and group sales demands.
    • Comprehension of the reservation sales processes for MOHG.
    • Able to train, manage and develop all direct reports to ensure successful execution of sales efforts; able to develop and deliver training to executives and other colleagues.
    • Strong leadership skills.
    • Effective time management, communication, and professional presentation skills. Arabic speaking is an advantage.
    • Ability to multi-task and balance priorities
    • Comprehension of technical and managerial applications of Reservation, Sales, PMS and Revenue systems, including but not limited to SMS, SynXis, Datavision (e.g. report creation), IDeaS and Delphi.
