Commis Sommelier, Dinner by Heston Blumenthal

We’re looking for a Commis Sommelier to join our iconic Dinner by Heston Blumenthal team.

As a Commis Sommelier at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London, you will be responsible for:

• Excellent knowledge of all food and beverage items served
• To ensure that the cellar is kept clean and in the appropriate operational order at all times
• Supporting the Sommeliers in service 
• To ensure that mise en place levels are maintained accurately

As a Commis Sommelier, you will be working on a rotating shift basis, Monday to Sunday, 39 hours a week. Shift patterns will vary from morning, evening, and late night shifts (including weekends and bank holidays), so flexibility is required where applicable.

To be a successful Commis Sommelier candidate, you will have a passion for wine and food knowledge, with a strong understanding of fine dining restaurant service steps and previous experience working in a restaurant or other hospitality role.
