About The Role
As a Waiter / Waitress at Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid, you will deliver flawless front-of-house service across our restaurants and events. You will work closely with the Kitchen, Sommelier and Banqueting teams to ensure timely execution, impeccable presentation and memorable guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate must possess strong gastronomic knowledge, advanced culinary techniques, and a deep understanding of products and raw materials. They should demonstrate refined culinary judgment, analytical skills, and great attention to detail. The role requires applying these competencies in a high-demand, fast-evolving environment.
Serve food and beverages following MOHG standards and plating/service protocols; ensure correct presentation and timing.
Support event and banqueting operations: prepare, set and dismantle rooms; assist service teams during events.
Perform tableside service tasks (carving, flambéing, deboning, etc.) with confidence and exceptional attention to detail.
Maintain service stations, control stock of cutlery, glassware and linen, and ensure all equipment is clean and in good working order.
Adhere to hygiene (HACCP), Safe & Sound and FLHSSE standards; report incidents or maintenance needs promptly.
Communicate effectively with colleagues and other departments to ensure smooth service and outstanding guest satisfaction.
What We Expect From You
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent knowledge of luxury hotel F&B operations and guest service standards.
Highly responsible, reliable and detail-oriented.
Ability to remain calm, courteous and solution-focused under pressure.
A collaborative mindset, working seamlessly with multicultural teams.
Minimum of 1 year experience in luxury hospitality, restaurants or banqueting.
Fluent in English and Spanish; additional languages are an advantage.
