Scope of Position
As Waiter/Waitress in Banquet, you play a critical role in providing exceptional guests’ experience during events and functions. The role includes setting up banquet spaces, serving food and beverages and making sure that every aspect of the dining experience meets our standards.
Responsibilities
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the banquet menu and beverage options.
Offer suggestions and answer questions to enhance the guest experience. Have a good understanding of the outlet’s concept and food and beverage offerings and be able to verbally explain those to guests.
Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests and communicate clearly to the kitchen and bar staff. Ensure all orders are delivered promptly and in accordance with guest specifications.
Address any special requests or dietary needs with professionalism and care. Ensure that management and kitchen colleagues are informed of any special guest preferences or allergies.
Provide attentive and personalized service to guests, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and efficiency.
Set up banquet spaces according to event specifications, including arranging tables, chairs and place settings, ensuring a clean and inviting dining environment.
Any other reasonable tasks as assigned by the Restaurant/ Outlet Manager.
Create WOW moments to surprise and delight guests in the event/function.
Ensure customer satisfaction from arrival to departure in accordance to the MOHG Legendary Quality Experiences (LQEs)
Skills & Qualifications
High School qualification or equivalent is preferred.
Degree or Higher National Diploma in Hospitality/Hotel/Business Management is preferred.
Experience in a high-volume restaurant with highest levels of service and/or luxury hotel experience preferred. Basic computer skills including MS Office is preferred.
Minimum 2 years’ experience working as waiter/waitress.
Knowledge of fine dining service procedures and standards as well as casual dining is preferred. Familiar with restaurant point of sales and cashiering procedures is preferred.
Verbal and written communication skills in English.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and colleagues
Ability to understand the flow of service and with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Physical capabilities to stand for a long period; Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as per business needs.
